The Ideal Tooth Replacement

Dental implants are a permanent, natural solution for missing teeth to restore your confidence with a natural, complete smile.

When patients come to ArchPoint Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery to explore options for a missing tooth or teeth, dental implants are a popular solution.  Unlike temporary solutions, like removable partial dentures and dental bridges, implants permanently restore your health and confidence with real-life teeth. Dental implant treatments at ArchPoint Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery are handled in partnership with your referring dentist and Dr. Tom Draper and/or Dr. Reed Gibbins.  Our individual implants can be placed to accommodate either cement or screw-retained restorations.

Benefits of Dental Implants:

  • Restores your confidence with a natural, complete smile.

  • Allows you to eat and chew foods as you would with natural teeth.

  • Lifetime solution and easy to care for.

  • Dental implants never get cavities.

  • Maintains facial structure by preventing bone loss from occurring in your jaw.

Dental Implant Placement Procedure:

  • Dental implant treatment plans are developed in tandem with your referring dentist. ArchPoint Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery offers several implant options.

  • During your first visit, we will take 3D scans utilizing i-CAT technology to determine the right dental implant treatment option for you. We will also discuss your anesthesia and sedation options.

  • During your operation visit, anesthesia will be administered. Tom Draper and/or Dr. Reed Gibbins will then make a small incision in the gum and place the dental implant into the empty tooth socket. If a tooth is extracted, the dental implant may be placed during that same procedure.

  • Depending on the type of implant treatment selected, the connecting abutment is either added immediately during the same visit or may be added a few weeks later after the healing is complete.

  • A temporary tooth will be provided by the oral surgeon until you are ready for your dentist to provide your custom-made crown.

Tiny medical-grade titanium posts are surgically placed into the jawbone where the tooth or teeth are missing. The bone bonds with the titanium, creating a foundation for the new artificial tooth or teeth. The abutment is the connecting piece that attaches the crown to the post. The crown is custom-made to look and act like your natural tooth.

“Don’t be afraid to Smile.”

For years I’d felt like a part of my body was missing — because my teeth were. My dentist told me that dental implants would make me feel and look a lot better. OK, I said. Now, I’m thrilled. I can smile, eat anything, and enjoy a good laugh with my friends.
