Anesthesia Options
Comfortable care is a top priority at ArchPoint Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
Comfortable, safe care is our top priority for our patients. ArchPoint’s oral surgeons are trained and certified in out-patient anesthesia.
Nitrous Oxide
Nitrous oxide, also known as “laughing gas,” is an odorless gas you breathe in through a breathing device that reduces anxiety and serves as a mild pain reliever. Though you are awake, you are relaxed and calm.
Local Anesthesia
Local anesthesia is used to numb the area of surgery, allowing the patient to feel no pain during the procedure. Local anesthesia will allow you to remain conscious throughout the procedure.
IV Sedation / General Anesthesia
IV sedation is administered intravenously and is medically induced unconsciousness. You’ll likely not remember the procedure, though you are responsive during treatment. We will monitor all your vitals during and after your procedure.
