THE FUTURE OF DENTISTRY HAS ARRIVED IN DALLAS
ARCHPOINT ORAL & MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY AND ARCHPOINT IMPLANT DENTISTRY INTRODUCE DENTAL ROBOTIC SURGERY; SURGEONS LEAD THE WAY FOR NEXT GENERATION OF ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY
ArchPoint Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and ArchPoint Implant Dentistry are the first practices in Dallas to acquire and utilize the only FDA-approved robotic device for dental implant surgery in the United States.
The state-of-the-art robotic surgical device has been implemented in an elite group of leading dental practices across the county and is now being offered in Dallas. The new technology combined with the surgeons’ exceptional approach for individual care has developed into an entirely new experience within the dental implant surgical field in North Texas.
In addition to offering the technology direct to patients, ArchPoint will collaborate with referring dentists from across North Texas to assist with treatment plans so that more people will have access to the advanced robotic technology that offers a new level of precision, longevity, and hygiene.
“We are truly bringing the future of dentistry to Dallas with this advanced robotic technology and exceptional surgical care,” said Tom Draper DDS, MD. “This game changing surgical approach for single implants and full arch implants options will lead to a new standard of care for the profession, and we are pleased to be at the forefront of this surgical movement.”
The robotic-assistant device is intended to aid in both the pre-operative and the surgical phases of the dental implant surgery. The robot enhances patient care by providing surgeons with real-time guidance in the position, angulation, and depth of the surgical instruments. Using this minimally invasive technique – a small opening in the gum tissue- leads to faster recovery after surgery. This advanced system also helps ensure the ideal placement of the replacement tooth at the restorative phase.
Robotic surgery was introduced more than 20 years ago and has been used to treat millions of patients each year across multiple medical specialties, including cardiovascular, neurology, and orthopedics, and is just recently offered in the dental space through this new technology.
“At ArchPoint, our objective is to provide our patients with the very best quality of care and outcome possible, which is why we are continuously seeking new advancements in the field,” said Reed Gibbins DDS, MD. “The YOMI® robot is one of the most exciting new technologies to become available to our specialty in the last decade, and we have been researching and training for years to bring it to Dallas and to share with patients and help advance our specialty.”
Alongside the acquisition, ArchPoint will be named a “YOMI® Center of Excellence” serving as an educational hub to other dental professionals in the region.
Dental implant surgery is the standard of care for replacing missing teeth. Nearly 15 million implants are placed annually in worldwide.
